Bookkeeping from someone who understands small business.

I’ve been on both sides of the books.

I’ve spent more than 10 years doing bookkeeping for small businesses, with experience in landscaping, natural foods, nursery and garden businesses, and other hands-on, owner-operated work.

I’m a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor and Intuit Certified Bookkeeping Professional, but my understanding of small business comes from more than certifications. I’ve worked in small businesses, helped run them, and know how quickly bookkeeping can get pushed aside when there’s actual work to do.

That’s why I started Annie’s Balanced Books: to provide practical, dependable bookkeeping support that helps small-business owners know where they actually stand.

The numbers don’t care.

And I mean that in the best way.

One of the things I value most about bookkeeping is that it starts with reality. The numbers aren’t judging how things got messy, why something was paid from the wrong account, or how long it’s been since the books were reconciled. They simply tell us what happened.

My job is to make sense of that information. I follow the trail, untangle what needs untangling, and organize your books so they accurately reflect your business.

There’s no judgment in that process. Just a starting point, a puzzle to work through, and clearer information on the other side.

Good bookkeeping isn’t about making the numbers look right. It’s about making sure they tell the truth.

Ready for bookkeeping that starts with where you actually are?

Whether you need ongoing support or help getting caught up, I’d be glad to learn more about your business.
